We asked Jan-Henk what it’s like to work at Willpro.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and tell us how you ended up at Willpro?
Hi, my name is Jan-Henk Schroer, and I’m Foreman of Machining & Maintenance at Willpro. I’ve been working here for almost 25 years now, and I still enjoy it every day. Over the years, I’ve seen Willpro grow and evolve — and I’ve had the opportunity to grow along with it in my role.
What exactly does your job involve, and what makes it so enjoyable?
I’m responsible for maintaining our entire machine park. That includes planning, solving malfunctions, carrying out preventive maintenance, and making sure everything keeps running smoothly. I’m given a lot of trust and freedom to organize my work in my own way, and that makes the job both enjoyable and meaningful.
I’m also a certified practical trainer. I completed a training program for that. Willpro was already officially recognized as a training company, but now I can guide students even better. I really enjoy mentoring young people and passing on my knowledge in a hands-on setting.
What makes Willpro a great place to work for you?
The freedom and trust I’m given — both in my job and in my personal life.
And the working atmosphere is excellent: open, respectful, and focused on quality. You really work as a team here.
What do you enjoy doing outside of work?
I like spending time with my family and working on DIY projects. I enjoy practical tasks — also outside the workplace.
Jan-Henk, thank you for your years of dedication and commitment. You’re a true role model for the next generation of skilled professionals.
